Construction company Dressler & Partner offers a one stop shop:
from finding a building plot to handing over the keys

Dressler & Partner, a construction company founded in Stuttgart in 1984, has dedicated itself with great succes to building in Mallorca. For the past 20 years, the company has employed the same methods of construction as it uses back in Germany. The company builds with load-bearing walls, exposed wooden roof trusses and horizontal damp-proof barriers. All work is carried out in accordance wiht the German standard offical contracting code VOB (Verdingungsordnung im Baugewerbe). The advantages of this method of construction include the following: the weight of the building is distributed evenly onto the ground through all the walls, instead of the load being borne only at given points. From the building physics pint of view, the advantages lie in the walls, mostly made of aerated concrete blocks (YTONG), which regulate the indoor temperature. The cavities between the bricks and concrete blocks are insulated in such a way as to ensure an even transfer of heat through the wall. This prevents condensation and mould growth. The horizontal damp-proof barrier under all the masonry makes it impossible for moisture from the soil to penetrate. This is one of the main problens encountered in construction in Mallorca. Building design is carried out in close collaboration with the German firm of architects, Rainer Henke-Steiner, and a range of reputable Spanish architects, all of whom have a proven track record of reliability, expertise and many years of experience. All construction work is carried out under the supervision of German master craftsmen. For the structural calculations required in building, the company works with Keller, a firm of engineering consultants in Tübingen. Dressler & Partner has two offices in Algaida and one in Binissalem, and with the recents opening of its branch in Port d'Andratx it now has four bases in Mallorca.
